The earth is experiencing unprecedented level and rates of human-caused environmental changes. The globe is being warmed by rising greenhouse gas emissions, accelerating species extinction, depletion of renewable resources like water, flora and fauna: and detrimental effects of finite resources like fossil fuels on the delicate, interdependent natural eco-system. Hence, the department of Environmental Management Technology was established with the intention of developing a profession that manages the earth system in a way that maintains the long-term sustainability of life on our planet. This will place a focus on integrated teaching and learning so that graduates will comprehend holistic planning for environmental sustainability beyond linear fragment approaches.
